Windows Etc and Seven Developments: windows and doors for three new Essex developments

By Windows Etc team 12 October 2026 2 min read

Working with Seven Developments, again

Seven Developments builds a small number of high-specification homes in some of Essex’s most sought-after villages. We worked with them at the award-winning Mill View in Ardleigh, and we’ve now supplied and installed windows and doors across three more of their developments.

It’s a commercial partnership, but every product is going into a family home. The windows and doors on these homes are the same ranges we fit for homeowners every week.

Malting Paddocks, Layer de la Haye

Four 4/5-bedroom homes on a private, gated site a few miles south of Colchester. On the front elevations we fitted Quickslide uPVC vertical sliding windows, which give a traditional sash look with modern performance. uPVC windows went on the rear, and uPVC sliding patio doors open onto the gardens.

Ulting Meadows, Hatfield Peverel

Six large 4/5-bedroom homes in the village of Nounsley, the biggest at over 3,700 sq ft. We fitted Roseview Heritage Rose uPVC vertical sliding windows and Solidor composite front doors. At the rear, Smarts Visoglide sliding patio doors and Visofold 1000 bifold doors open the living spaces up to the garden.

The Nest at Abberton

Five 3- and 4/5-bedroom homes close to Abberton Reservoir. These have Roseview Heritage Rose vertical sliders again, with Residence 7 windows and French doors and Smarts Visofold 1000 bifolds.

Why developers choose their windows carefully

Buyers rarely mention windows and doors when they’re asked what sold them a house, but they notice them on every viewing. Kerb appeal starts with the front door and the windows. Inside, the moment a buyer slides back a set of bifolds, they picture summer in the garden. On homes at this level, the glazing has to match the rest of the specification.

That’s where we come in. We help builders and developers choose products that suit the architecture and the market, then install them in step with the build programme. Seven’s homes mix heritage-style vertical sliders with contemporary aluminium bifolds, and we supplied and installed both.
