Steel and glass internal doors
OTIF loft doors, room dividers and glazed screens, made to measure in slim steel frames and supplied and fitted by Windows Etc across Essex, Suffolk and London.
Light, open rooms, divided in steel and glass
OTIF makes loft doors and partitions from steel and glass: slim black or coloured frames with large panes that let natural light flow from room to room. They are an alternative to traditional internal doors, and suit modern, minimal and industrial interiors alike. For the outside of the house, see our aluminium windows and external doors.
Every OTIF door is built to order on the Prestige 2.0 steel profile, with welded and ground joints and safety glass. Choose how it opens, then the glazing bar pattern, the colour, the glass and the handle.
We supply and fit OTIF across Essex and Suffolk, and down to London. You can see OTIF doors in anodic brown in our Colchester showroom.

Hinged, pivot, sliding or folding, or a fixed screen.

Hinged doors
Classic swing doors on the slim Prestige 2.0 profile, an elegant alternative to a traditional internal door. They open one way up to 180°, can be locked with a key and work with side panels and transoms. A concealed magnetic lock keeps the look clean, an integrated seal helps with sound and heat, and an automatic drop seal is available for extra sound insulation.
Opens up to 180° | key lockable

Pivot doors
Pivot doors open both ways, up to 150° each side, with a stop position at 90° and damping as they close. The pivot hinge is built into the door, so there is no door frame, just glass and steel. Side panels and transoms can be added.
Opens both ways | no door frame

Sliding doors
A sliding door needs no room to swing open. The track mounts on the wall or ceiling behind a slim steel cover, with soft-close built in. Telescopic systems for several panels, and pocket systems that slide into the wall, are also available.

Sliding doors with loft rollers
The industrial version: a wall-mounted rail with decorative black rollers on show, still with a soft-close system. Like every OTIF sliding door, it saves space and works with side panels and transoms.

Fixed screens and room dividers
Fixed steel and glass panels work as a partition wall on their own or combined with a door, to divide a room without losing the light. Sizes and glazing bar patterns are made to suit the space.

Folding doors
Folding doors open a wide gap and fold back neatly, in configurations of several leaves. Each leaf locks with its own latch, and the floor track comes in three options, including two recessed into the floor for a flush threshold.
Multi-leaf | flush threshold option

Glazed partitions for workspaces
OTIF doors and partition walls work in offices as well as homes. Clean lines and large panes keep a workspace open and full of light while still dividing it into rooms, whether the layout needs to stay flexible or be permanent.
OTIF case studies, on the way
We're photographing our first OTIF installations, including a project in London, and the case studies will be here soon.

More from Windows Etc
Are OTIF doors for inside or outside?
Inside. OTIF makes internal doors, room dividers and glazed partitions in steel and glass, as an alternative to traditional internal doors. For outside doors, see the external doors we fit.
What safety glass do they use?
Every OTIF door and panel uses safety glass: laminated (VSG) or toughened (ESG).
Can I have a door with glass panels either side or above?
Yes. Hinged, pivot and sliding doors can all be combined with fixed side panels, a transom above, or both, for single or double doors.
How tall can an OTIF door be?
Doors are made to measure, from 1.8 m up to 3.2 m tall depending on the design. How wide each leaf can be depends on its height, how it opens and which glazing bars you choose, so we confirm the sizes when we measure.
Are they good for sound?
Hinged doors have an integrated rubber seal for sound and heat insulation, and an automatic drop seal can be added for extra sound insulation.
Where do you fit OTIF doors?
Across Essex and Suffolk, and down to London. You can also see OTIF doors in anodic brown in our Colchester showroom.
