⤢ Built to mirror the timeless grace of its adjoining Victorian property, this elegant family home is a beautiful example of how sympathetic styling can smoothly unify old and new, creating something both classic and contemporary.
Set in a prime commuter belt location, the property appeals to upwardly mobile city professionals, and as such is built to an extremely high specification. Among other stipulations, planning conditions specified the use of wooden sash windows in keeping with the period character. Windows Etc was pleased to suggest Bereco products, a supplier known for providing quality and function uncompromised by the necessary period styling. They offer all the advantages of modern double glazing, combined with traditional materials and finish, and can be factory sprayed to any chosen shade.
Despite its traditionally handsome double front, the interior exudes a stylish modernity, with an abundance of natural light. This is enhanced beautifully with Bereco Timber Sash Windows, including two bays, which bring a delightful additional airiness to the ground floor. A satin chrome finish transports traditional sash lifts and catches into present day chic, matching the property’s bulb end door handles.
A spacious entrance hall gives way to the property’s pièce de résistance; an artistically designed kitchen area, leading onto the large rear garden. An exposed wall of locally made brick, a vaulted ceiling and cabinets built for the room, together making a calm living area. The overall impression is one of clean lines and simple elegant open space. Smarts Aluminium bi-folding doors effectively extend this space out into the garden, opening fully to provide an unbroken transition from inside to out. A 3-3-0 configuration provides a traffic door, adding convenience to this really striking modern feature.
Echoing the roomy entrance hall, an equally generous landing leads to four double bedrooms, two with en suites, and a very swanky family bathroom. Again, the calibre of the project is apparent, oozing style and quality with an obscure glass Bereco sash, handmade bathroom cabinets, and a gorgeously decadent slipper bath.

We have got new front door and then replaced all our windows. Great experience start to end for both projects. They know what they are doing - clear communication, good planning and clean execution."
"I had Scott and Wayne fit a number of windows on one of my jobs. They did a fantastic job, cleaned and hoovered all areas and were very polite to my client. The windows look amazing."
"The customer service from Windows Etc has been absolutely outstanding, from the sales team, to admin, to the installation team. They walked us through everything and guided us to the right bifold doors for us, without trying to sell us the most expensive. The price was very good and the doors themselves are great, very smooth to open and look amazing."
