On the Origin of Windows

We love an Origin project, there’s something immensely satisfying in a homeowner making this choice. Origin glazing is not only stylish, it’s superbly well-made and will arguably add value to this home. They certainly add a sense of security, both in the literal sense and also that they are extremely durable and offer a great long-term investment in terms of maintenance. 

The homeowners have fitted out the main windows from top to bottom in Origin Aluminium, the front room sporting a beautiful bay window, the anthracite powder-coated finish works very well with the zinc roof on the bay. We particularly like the gable glazing to the extension area and the inclusion  of the Morley Integral Blinds, which add further convenience and practicality to the overall benefits.

The Origin bifold doors are in a 5-0-0 configuration, which allows all leaves to be folded to one side whilst also allowing the fifth leaf to be used as a traffic door for convenient access.

The kitchen’s side access door is also from Origin, and it is glazed full-length and also includes the integrated blinds we saw in the extension.

Finally, it’s hard to beat an Origin Aluminium door for style and security, and we are particularly pleased with the frosted side panel which allows for a little more light in the hallway whilst maintaining privacy.
